Dawn is an American brand of dishwashing liquid. It is owned by Procter & Gamble. It was introduced in 1973.[1] In the United States, it is the best-selling brand of dishwashing liquid.[2] Dawn products(their items that you can buy) are also used to get rid of grease.[3] They were used to get rid of oil on animals like during the Exxon Valdez and Deepwater Horizon oil spills.[4]
