Death marches during the Holocaust

During the Holocaust, death marches took place mostly in 1944-1945. Many Jewish prisoners were forced to walk to concentration camps, and more than 15,000 people died along the way. German Soldiers followed strict orders to shoot any prisoner who went too slow or fell down. Prisoners were brutally mistreated and killed while they marched forward.
