Dina Merrill (December 29, 1923 – May 22, 2017) was an American actress, socialite, businesswoman and philanthropist.[2][3] She is known for her roles in Operation Petticoat, The Sundowners, BUtterfield 8, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, and in Caddyshack II.

Merrill died on May 22, 2017 at her East Hampton, New York home from dementia at the age of 93.[4]
