Eric William Dane (November 9, 1972 – February 19, 2026) was an American actor. He played Jason Dean in Charmed. He also played Dr. Mark Sloan on the ABC medical drama television series Grey's Anatomy,[1] and Cal Jacobs on the HBO series Euphoria.

In April 2025, Dane announced his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.[2] He died of respiratory failure caused by the disease in Los Angeles, California on February 19, 2026 at the age of 53.[3]
