Eric Flint (February 6, 1947 – July 17, 2022) was an American author and editor. His works are about alternate history science fiction, but he also wrote fantasy adventures. He was a co-founder and editor of the Baen Free Library. He was best known for writing the 1632 series.

Flint died on July 17, 2022, at the age of 75 in East Chicago, Indiana.[1]
