Esther Béjarano

Esther Béjarano (née Löwy; 15 December 1924 – 10 July 2021) was a German singer. She was one of the last survivors of the Auschwitz concentration camp.[1] With Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, she played in the Women's Orchestra of Auschwitz. Béjarano was born in Saarlouis, Germany.

She was a co-founder and chairman of the International Auschwitz Committee and honorary chairperson of the Union of Persecutees of the Nazi Regime.

Béjarano died on 10 July 2021 in Hamburg, aged 96.[2][3][4]
