Eva Hesse

Eva Hesse (January 11, 1936 – May 29, 1970) was a German-born and American-raised sculptor and painter. Her career was short. She worked with fiberglass and plastics. She also sculpted with other materials. Hesse was born near Hamburg, Germany, but was moved to New York City. She died from a brain tumor diagnosed the previous year.
