Exit sign

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An exit sign is a pictogram in a public place that shows where the nearest emergency exit is, in case of an emergency that requires people to evacuate.

Exit signs are designed to be very understandable and clear to anyone. In the past, exit signs usually showed the word "EXIT" (or the equivalent in the local language), but increasingly exit signs around the world are pictograms, with or without additional text.[1]
