FMK-3

The FMK-3 is a 9mm caliber submachine gun of Argentine origin. It was designed and produced by "Fábrica Militar de Armas Portátiles Domingo Mateu" (FMAP DM) (in English: Domingo Matheu Portable Military Weapons Factory) in the mid-1970s. It is used by the Argentine army and police forces. It was used in the Falklands War of 1982.

The FMK-3 is constructed of stamped steel sheet and has a retractable steel wire stock. It has magazines of 25, 32 and 40 cartridges. It has a fire selector for automatic and semi-automatic. The weapon fires by blowback with the bolt open. The rate of fire of the FMK-3 is 600 rounds per minute. There was also a version called FMK-5, for civilian use, which only allowed semi-automatic firing.
