A femme fatale (/ˌfæm fəˈtɑːl/ or /ˌfɛm fəˈtɑːl/; French: [fam fatal], literally "lethal woman"), sometimes called a maneater[1] or vamp, is a character that is a mysterious, beautiful, and seductive woman. This character often traps her lovers, often leading them into deadly traps.
