Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Werneck besteht seit 1972 aus den ehemals selbstständigen Gemeinden Ebenhausen, Ettleben, Rundelshausen, Schleerieth, Schnackenwerth, Schraudenbach, Stettbach, Vasbühl, Werneck und Zeuzleben. Der historische Mittelpunkt der Gemeinde war das fürstbischöflich-würzburgische Schloss Werneck, das 1745 im Auftrag von Bischof Friedrich Karl von Schönborn (1729 bis 1746) von Balthasar Neumann als Sommerresidenz der Würzburger Bischöfe errichtet wurde. Daran erinnert der Löwe aus dem Wappen der Freiherren von Schönborn. Der Balken mit den aufgelegten Pfählen ist das Wappen der Freiherren von Thüngen, die vor allem in Schleerieth, Schraudenbach und Stattbach als Grundherren belegt sind.
