Flavio Cotti

Flavio Cotti (18 October 1939 – 16 December 2020) was a Swiss politician. He was born in Prato-Sornico, Switzerland.

He was elected to the Federal Council of Switzerland on 10 December 1986. He retired on 30 April 1999. He was a member of the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland.

He was President of the Confederation twice, first in 1991 and then again in 1998.[1]

Cotti died on 16 December 2020 of COVID-19 in Locarno, Switzerland at the age of 81.[2]
