Frances Hardman Conroy[1][2] (born November 13, 1953) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Ruth Fisher on the television series Six Feet Under. She is also known for playing multiple roles in the American Horror Story television series. In 2019, she played Penny Fleck in Joker.
