Francis J. Meehan

Francis Joseph "Frank" Meehan (February 14, 1924 – May 7, 2022) was an American diplomat. He was born in East Orange, New Jersey. He was an ambassador during the Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan presidencies.

Meehan was the Ambassador to Czechoslovakia from 1979 until 1980. He later was the Ambassador to Poland from 1980 to 1983. Meehan lastly was the Ambassador to East Germany from 1985 until 1988.

Meehan died on May 7, 2022 in Helensburgh, Scotland at the age of 98.[1]
