George Gilbert "Gil" Ray (September 17, 1956 – January 24, 2017) was an American rock drummer, guitarist, and singer. He was best known as a member of the bands Game Theory and The Loud Family with Scott Miller. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He moved to San Francisco, California in 1982.

Ray died from cancer on January 24, 2017 at the age of 60.[1]
