Goodbye, Mr. Chips is a 1939 British romantic drama movie directed by Sam Wood and was based on the 1934 novella of the same name by James Hilton. It stars Robert Donat, Greer Garson, Terry Kilburn, John Mills, David Croft, Paul Henreid, Judith Furse, Lyn Harding and was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It was nominated for 7 Oscars and won an Academy Award in 1940 and was remade in 1969.
