The Governor of Virginia is the chief executive of the state of Virginia for a four-year term. Terry McAuliffe is the current governor since 2014. The governor lives in the Executive Mansion of Virginia.

The most recent election took place on November 7, 2017 with the Governor-elect being Ralph Northam who will take office on January 13, 2018.
