"Hark! the Herald Angels Sing" is a song connected with the Christmas season which dates back to around 1739. Its melody is based on Felix Mendelssohn's cantata Festgesang. This song has been altered numerous times during the decades. Many musicians have covered this song during the years, including though not limited to Amy Grant.
