Ibn Abbas

Ibn Abbas was the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad. He was considered the best of all Tafsir writers.[1][2] He was the son of Muhammad's uncle and the nephew of one of Muhammad's wives. Ibn supported Ali and was made the governor of Basra in modern-day Iraq because of his support.[3]
