In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is the second album recorded by Neutral Milk Hotel. It was released in February 1998. After the album came out and the band finished doing concerts to promote it, the leader of the band named Jeff Mangum became very private and basically disappeared except for one small concert in New Zealand and a reunion tour in the 2010s.
