"Independence Day" is a 1994 song by country singer Martina McBride and is the third single from her second studio album The Way That I Am. It went to number 12 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and was nominated for 2 Grammy Awards in 1995. It was originally offered to Reba McEntire who turned it down.
In 2019, Martina McBride performed the song as the opener to the 53rd CMA Awards alongside a host of other women in country music.
