Independent Labor (Australia)

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Independent Labor is a political description used in Australia. It refers to a member of the centre-left Labor Party who is also an independent.

Independent Labor members are most common at the local level. However, there are two state MPs who are independent Labor members: David O'Byrne in the Tasmanian House of Assembly and Mark Turner in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly.
