Islam in Sri Lanka

Islam is practiced by 9.7% of people in Sri Lanka . Based on the 2012 census, 1,967,227 people practice Islam. The Muslim community consists of four groups which are Sri Lankan Moors, Indian Muslim and Malay people. Each group has its own culture, their way of living and praying.[1] Most Sri Lankan Muslim people talk in Tamil language.[2]
