Temetrius Jamel "Ja" Morant (born August 10, 1999) is an American basketball player. He plays for the Memphis Grizzlies. This is a team in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Murray State University.[1] In 2019, he was an All-American college basketball player.[2][3]

Morant was picked by the Grizzlies in the 2019 NBA draft. He was picked second in the draft.[4] He was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2020. In 2022, Morant was in the NBA All-Star Game, and was put on the All-NBA Team.[5]
