James Montgomery Doohan (March 3, 1920 – July 20, 2005) LVO was a Canadian actor and voice actor. He is best known for his role as Montgomery "Scotty" Scott in the movie and television series Star Trek. Doohan's character was one of the most typical elements in the Star Trek franchise.

Doohan was also a veteran of World War II. After his success with Star Trek, he showed a lot of support through the years for his fans by making many public appearances.
