Jeffrey R. Holland
Jeffrey Roy Holland (December 3, 1940 – December 27, 2025) was an American educator and religious leader who was the 29th President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from October 2025 until his death two months later. He was the ninth President of Brigham Young University and was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1994 until his death.[1] Holland was born in St. George, Utah.
In 2023, he became Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. In 2025, he became the 29th President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.[2]
Holland died from kidney disease in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 27, 2025 at the age of 85.[3]
