Jim Leach

James Albert Smith Leach (born October 15, 1942) is an American academic and politician. He was born in Davenport, Iowa. He was the ninth Chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities from 2009 to 2013.[1][2] He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Iowa from 1977 to 2007 as a Republican.[3]
