João Cutileiro

João Cutileiro OSE (26 June 1937 – 5 January 2021) was a Portuguese modernist sculptor.[1] He created controversial female nude marble statues. He was born in Lisbon. One of his important works is the statue of Sebastian of Portugal (1973) in the Algarve.

Cutileiro died of respiratory failure on 5 January 2021 in Lisbon, aged 83.[2]
