Joanna Meriel "Jo" Stevens (born 6 September 1966) is a Welsh Labour Party politician in the UK House of Commons. She was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Cardiff Central in the May 2015 general election. She was born in Swansea, Wales.
In Jeremy Corbyn's January 2016 reshuffle, she was appointed shadow solicitor general and shadow justice minister. In October 2016 reshuffle, after Corbyn's re-election as party leader, Stevens became Shadow Secretary of State for Wales. She resigned from the shadow cabinet on 27 January 2017, due to a disagreement over triggering article 50.
