Joe Ashton

Joseph William Ashton OBE (9 October 1933 – 30 March 2020), usually known as Joe Ashton, was a British Labour Party politician. He was a Member of Parliament from 1968 to 2001 representing Bassetlaw. He was born in Sheffield, West Riding of Yorkshire. In 2007, Ashton was appointed an OBE.[1]

Ashton died on 30 March 2020, aged 86.[2]
