John Sullivan (February 17, 1740 – January 23, 1795) was an American General in the Revolutionary War. He was a delegate in the Continental Congress. He was the third governor of New Hampshire. He was also a United States District judge.

He led the Sullivan Expedition in 1779. In it, he attacked and destroyed many Iroquois towns.
