John Wes Townley

John Wes Townley (December 31, 1989 – October 2, 2021)[1] was an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He also raced part-time in the Xfinity Series. Townley was born in Watkinsville, Georgia.

Townley was shot and killed on October 2, 2021 after he was assaulted in Athens, Georgia at the age of 31.[2][3]
