Josef Čapek (English: Joseph Chapek; (1887-03-23)23 March 1887 – April 1945) was a Bohemian painter and writer, who was the brother of Karel Čapek, an writer. He also co-wrote a prose novel written by his brother Karel called, The Luminous Depths (Zářivé hlubiny in Bohemian).
