Joseph A. Hardy III (January 7, 1923 – January 7, 2023) was an American businessman. He was the founder and CEO of 84 Lumber and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.[1] In 1992, after 34 years of running the company, Hardy retired.[2] In 2007, he unsuccessfully ran for commissioner of Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

Hardy died on his 100th birthday on January 7, 2023.[3]
