Juan Carlos Tabío

Juan Carlos Tabío (1943 – 18 January 2021) was a Cuban movie director and screenwriter. He was best known for his 1994 movie Strawberry and Chocolate which won awards at the 44th Berlin International Film Festival,[1] and was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He also directed the 2000 movie Lista de Espera.[2]

Tabío died on 18 January 2021 at the age of 77.[3]
