Kapila Vatsyayan

Kapila Vatsyayan (कपिला वात्स्यायन) (25 December 1928 – 16 September 2020) was an Indian scholar of classical dance, art, architecture, and art history. She was a member of parliament between 2006 to 2012. She was the founding director of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts. Vatsyayan was born in New Delhi.

Vatsyayan died on 16 September 2020 at her home in New Delhi at the age of 91.[1]
