Karakul (Tajikistan)

The Karakul crater is in Tajikistan. It left a 25 km (16 mi) diameter lake in a big 52 km (32 mi) impact crater.[1][2] The lake is higher than Lake Titicaca.

The impact was about 25 million years ago, leaving a crater with a rim diameter of 45 kilometers (28 miles).
