Kaskinen (Swedish: Kaskö) is a town in western Ostrobothnia, Finland. There were 1,341 people lived there in January 2014. It is the smallest city in Finland by population. Only nearby municipality is Närpes. The people of Kaskinen speak two languages, Finnish and Swedish.

Kaskinen is buildt on an island. The island is also called Kaskinen.

Kaskinen was established in 1785.
