Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche

Khenpo Karma Tharchin Rinpoche (3 April 1924[1] – 6 October 2019), widely known Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, was a senior lama of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. He was abbot of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (KTD) Monastery in Woodstock, New York from 1976 until his death in 2019. He was born in Kham, Tibet.

Rinpoche died at his home in Woodstock on 6 October 2019 at the age of 95.[2]
