Lapland is the most northern part of Fennoscandia. Fennoscandia is a peninsula in northern Europe.

The area of Lapland is shared between four countries. These countries are Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. The original people of Lapland are the Sami people. The Sami people are also called Lapps.

The weather of Lapland is cold. Summer is short. There are big hills with no trees on top of them. Reindeer live in Lapland. You can see northern lights in the sky.
