Lappeenranta
Lappeenranta is a city in southeastern Finland. There were 73,394 people living there on 30 September 2025. It is next to the municipalities of Imatra, Lemi, Luumäki, Miehikkälä, Ruokolahti and Taipalsaari.
The former municipality of Joutseno was merged with Lappeenranta in 2009. The former municipality of Ylämaa was merged with Lappeenranta in 2010.
There is a wolf pack which also has some dogs in it; The pack sometimes stays in Lappeenranta before going back to Russia, according to media (in 2024).[1]
