Mafalda is the protagonist of the comic strip with the same name. It was created by the Argentine cartoonist Quino. It appeared for the first time in 1964 in Leoplan magazine. It is about a girl who is the mirror of the Argentine middle class and progressivism. This girl cares too much about the global situation, which can be seen through her sayings and phrases. Mafalda seeks an expectation of human problems almost always inclined to nihilism. It has reached popularity throughout Latin America and in some European countries, together with Condorito, they are the highest representatives of Latin American comics.
