Alessandro Mahmoud (born 12 September 1992), better known by his stage name Mahmood, is an Italian singer-songwriter. He won the Sanremo Music Festival twice (in 2019 and 2022).

Mahmood first came to prominence after competing in season six of the Italian version of The X Factor. In 2019, he won the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Soldi", and represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the same song.[1] He finished as runner-up.

He won the Sanremo Music Festival 2022 once again, alongside Blanco with the song "Brividi", and they both represented again in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin.[2] They finished in sixth place.
