Manuel Uribe

Manuel Uribe Garza (11 June 1965 – 26 May 2014) was a Mexican man. He is for suffering from morbid obesity. He was the world's fattest man.[1]

After reaching around 597 kg (1,316 lb) and having been unable to leave his bed since 2001, Uribe lost about 181 kg (399 lb). It was one third of his body weight. He did this with the help of doctors and nutritionists. By the time of his death, Uribe was the world's third heaviest man. He was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Uribe died at the age of 48 from liver failure in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.[2]
