Matsumoto, Nagano

Matsumoto (松本市, Matsumoto-shi) is a city in the Chūbu region of Japan on the island of Honshu.[1]

It has been recognized as a special city since 2000.[2]

Matsumoto was the capital of Shinano Province during the Edo period.[1]
