Mumford & Sons are an English folk rock band from London.

The band was formed in 2007 by band members Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane. Lead vocalist Marcus Mumford organised the band and their performances and was one of the most visible members of the band because of this the band decided to use the name Mumford & Sons.

They released their debut studio album Sigh No More on 2 October 2009. They later released their second studio album Babel on 21 September 2012. Babel won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards.[1] They were also a part of the documentary Big Easy Express which won a Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video.[1]
