Murder of Ennis Cosby

Ennis William Cosby (April 15, 1969 - January 16, 1997) was the only son of American actor and comedian Bill Cosby. He was murdered in Los Angeles, California near Interstate 405.[1] Eighteen-year-old Mikhail Markhasev shot Cosby in the head after trying to rob him.

The death of Cosby caused major media coverage, public outrage and support for the Cosby family.

In 1998, Markhasev was tried and found guilty of attempted robbery and first-degree murder. He was sentenced to life in prison.[2]
