The Nepal Police own and operate the sports club known as Nepal Police Club (formerly Mahendra Police Club).[1] The club plays in Nepal's premier club football league, the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. Mahendra Police Club, which was founded in 1952 and is named for King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, has been a member of the New Nepal League from that organization's founding. The club placed second in the 2004–05 season and third the next.[2][3]
