Nick Galifianakis (born July 22, 1928) is an American attorney and politician. He was the former Democratic U.S. Congressman from North Carolina. He served as a representative from 1967 through 1973.

Galifianakis was born in Durham, North Carolina.[1][2] He studied at Duke University, and was an assistant professor at this university.

Galifianakis is the uncle of comedian Zach Galifianakis.[3]
