Nurbapa Umirzakov (1907 – 20 May 1947) was a Soviet statesman who served as Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Kazakh ASSR from 1937 to 1938.[1]
Early life and education[change | change source]
Umirzakov was born in 1907, and he was studied at the Zharkent Boarding School in 1918-20 and in 1923-26. At the age of 8, he was separated from his parents and became an orphan. He was graduated from the Lenin Communist University in Tashkent from 1930-1933.[source?]
Carrer[change | change source]
In 1937, he was elected Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Kazakh ASSR. In December of the same year, Umurzakov became a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, and in January 1938, he was elected Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
On May 20, 1947, he tragically died at the hands of his driver.
